As part of efforts to improve warehouse logistics efficiency, our team has successfully optimised vehicle loading processes, reducing average loading time by 34 % per container.

Initial implementation results

The first outcomes of the new system are already evident:

  • Previous: 1 hour 48 minutes;
  • Now: 1 hour 11 minutes;
  • Result: a 37‑minute reduction (–34 %) in loading time per container.

Previously, handling large‑capacity containers (LCCs) was a time‑consuming process. This led the warehouse to impose internal limits on the number of containers processed per day, and managers had to inform clients about supply volume restrictions.

The ProfHolod team developed and implemented an innovative solution that has fundamentally transformed the situation by streamlining work processes:

  • loading speed for LCCs has significantly increased;
  • warehouse throughput capacity has grown;
  • all previous limits and restrictions have been completely removed.

New capabilities

Following the implementation of these changes, the warehouse has transitioned to a flexible schedule for handling LCCs, with no quantitative restrictions:

  • container acceptance takes place during standard working hours — from 8:00 to 20:00;
  • booking slots for loading are available every 10 minutes (from 8:00 to 19:00).

The successful experience of optimising LCC loading has become a starting point for further development of the logistics infrastructure. The ProfHolod team is currently working on adapting similar solutions for other types of trailers. The goal is to further increase warehouse throughput capacity and create the most comfortable conditions for partners and customers.
